The S of "Safe space"
Safe space, literally and figuraly. Literaly, where WAF DIS is, you will be watched over. If you ever feel physically unsafe, we are there to protect you. Figuraly, a safe space can also be someone or something. It does not have to be a place.
We always offer a listening ear and with all the letters of WAF DIS we try and create the proper circumstances to achieve the qualities of a safe space. We try to create events, materials and reach partners so everyone feels part of our loving community or knows they can approach us without fear.
Everyone should be able to express themselves without fear of being judged, excluded or hurt in any way. We keep working on this aspect to improve it as this aspect of the WAF DIS letters makes or breaks our work. Working together and staying alert on the tendenses in our society and community are crucial in this.
