The W of "welcoming"
Feeling welcome, who doesn't want to experience that?
To make sure everyone feels welcome, we have to work together on creating an atmosphere where everyone is greeted warmly, gets the chance on meeting others on their own rhythm and feels safe while doing so.
We try to achieve this by welcoming each individual as they join the event and have a first icebreaker conversation. We try to make everyone feel at ease before they mix themselves into the crowd. Some need some more conversation, while others just need a "Hi and have fun!".
We keep in our minds that it's not as easy for everyone to blend into a crowd. Therefor we will always be available for chatting or asking questions. Some more experienced members also have an eye for this and will not hesitate to take you under their wing. We try our best to make things as comfortable as possible. If we notice someone feeling uncomfortable in any way, we are there for them. We stand up for one another and will do what we can to make you feel welcome.
